European Search Perspective (EUSP) is a European digital infrastructure venture building a comprehensive index of websites and online content hosted in Europe. Formed as a joint venture between German search engine Ecosia and French search engine Qwant, EUSP aims to strengthen digital pluralism, sovereignty, data security, privacy and sustainability. Its web index is designed to give search engines, technology startups and the European data and AI industry an independent source of information, reducing reliance on infrastructure controlled by large external competitors.

EUSP’s core offering includes a searchable web index and a ranking algorithm that search engines can syndicate to support varied results and tailor services to different audiences.
