About EUPL
EUPL, the European Union Prize for Literature, is an annual initiative that aims to recognize and promote the best emerging fiction writers in Europe. Supported by the Creative Europe program of the European Union, EUPL shines a spotlight on the creativity and diverse wealth of Europe's contemporary literature in the field of fiction. By promoting the circulation of literature within Europe and encouraging greater interest in non-national literary works, EUPL helps to foster a vibrant literary culture.
Since its establishment in 2009, EUPL has recognized 176 authors, whose works are promoted to reach a wider and international audience. The selected winners are celebrated for their outstanding contributions to European literature, and their books transcend national and linguistic borders.
