EURECA-PRO is a European University on Responsible Consumption and Production, representing a new form of cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe. Their long-term goal is to strengthen the excellence of the European Higher Education Area. With a two-fold mission, EURECA-PRO contributes to both societal and planetary goals. Their novel approach holistically addresses the highly topical issue of Sustainable Consumption and Production, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 12. Simultaneously, they actively contribute to the development of the European Higher Education Area in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4.

Through their education programs, including Bachelor, Master, and PhD programs, as well as joint master programs and supplementary modules, EURECA-PRO aims to foster inclusive and borderless education. They promote freedom, mobility, civic engagement, equal participation, and transparent joint governance. By developing shared fundamental philosophies, common values, and solution-oriented approaches, they aim to cultivate responsible systems design and contribute to social cohesion, responsible citizenship, and humanhood. EURECA-PRO also engages in research activities and lighthouse missions and publishes their research inventory and publications.
