About The European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong
The European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (EuroCham) is a non-governmental business interest group that was initiated in 1997. It serves as a European forum to exchange information, discuss common business challenges, and publish position papers with recommendations. EuroCham promotes economic exchange between Europe, Hong Kong, Macau, and the Greater Bay Area, fostering commercial, industrial, financial, scientific, and other economic connections.
With over 2,300 European companies operating in Hong Kong, Europe maintains its position as Hong Kong's second-largest trading partner. The relationship between Europe and Hong Kong benefits from extensive people-to-people contacts, particularly in research, academic cooperation, student mobility, culture, and creative industries. EuroCham plays an active role in the International Business Committee, allowing them to discuss and lobby with the Hong Kong Government and its officials.
