About Eurogeologists
The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) is a respected and non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the competence and ethical practice of geoscientists across Europe. With a vision to be recognized as an independent and reliable international organization, the EFG strives to protect the environment, promote public safety, and advocate for responsible use of natural resources. The mission of EFG is twofold: to promote excellence in geoscience application throughout Europe and to represent professional European associations of geoscientists while raising public awareness about the importance of geoscience in society.
The EFG achieves this through various initiatives such as EurGeol mentorship, EuroWorkshops, endorsed training programs, and employment surveys. Moreover, EFG offers continuous professional development agreements, job opportunities, and the prestigious Medal of Merit. Operated by a Council and Board, each member country has a voice in decision-making processes.
