The European Go Federation is the umbrella organisation of the national go associations of Europe. It coordinates the major tournaments with the Grand Prix, whose main event is the Grand Slam. Every year in July, August the European Go Congress takes place with hundreds of participants.

About European Go Federation
The European Go Federation (EGF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and coordinating the game of Go in Europe. With a history of over fifty years, the EGF organizes congresses, championships, tournaments, and leagues across the continent. Membership is open to Go organizing bodies from any country in or near Europe, and the EGF currently has 37 members.
The EGF's flagship event is the European Go Congress (EGC), held annually at the end of July/start of August. The EGC not only features the European Championship but also offers tournaments, teaching sessions, and a chance for Go enthusiasts of all levels to come together. The event attracts up to a thousand participants from all over the world.
In addition to the EGC, the EGF coordinates various major European tournaments and holds championships for different groups such as youth, students, women, pairs, teams, and professionals. The EGF also maintains an official European Rating List and works closely with the Pandanet Internet Go Server. Whether you're a competitive player or a casual enthusiast, the European Go Federation provides a thriving community and a wealth of opportunities to engage with the ancient game of Go
