COTANCE, the Confederation of National Associations of Tanners and Dressers of the European Community, is the leading representative body for the European Leather Industry. Based in Brussels, COTANCE is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the interests of the European tanning industry on the international stage. With a strong focus on sustainability, COTANCE works tirelessly to promote the sustainable development of the European tanning industry.

It acts as the official spokesperson, representing the leather producing industry at the European and international level in front of EU and UN institutions and bodies. COTANCE actively coordinates policies in key areas including environmental performance, social accountability, corporate social responsibility, research and development, education and training, and image and communication. It is also a member of ICT, the International Council of Tanners, and participates in GLCC, the Global Leather Cooperation Committee.
