EUROPA DONNA Schweiz is a Swiss breast cancer patient organisation led by women affected by the disease and supported by medical professionals and politicians. As a member of the European Breast Cancer Coalition, it works to improve breast cancer care through networking, patient advocacy and political representation. Its central aim is to help ensure that all women in Switzerland can access quality-assured mammography screening, as well as optimal early detection, treatment and follow-up care.
The organisation offers opportunities for people to contribute as members, ambassadors, volunteers and patient advocates. Its Simply the Breast® initiative encourages women to share their experience and raise awareness. Tavola Rosa gatherings in several Swiss cities provide opportunities for women affected by breast cancer to meet and exchange support. Through Breast Friends – fit & fun, participants walk together to promote solidarity and early detection. EUROPA DONNA Schweiz also conducts political lobbying, shares news and information, and organises activities such as the Pink Cube. It welcomes donations and engagement from supporters, institutions and sponsors.
