DAISIE, or Delivering Alien Invasive Species In Europe, is a pioneering project funded by the European Commission, aimed at addressing the critical issue of invasive alien species (IAS) across Europe. Developed by a consortium of leading researchers from 18 institutions, DAISIE serves as a centralized resource, providing comprehensive information about biological invasions that threaten Europe's terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems. Its primary goal is to create an extensive inventory of invasive species, complete with assessments of their ecological, economic, and health impacts.

The DAISIE database is the largest of its kind globally, featuring information on over 12,122 alien species and involving collaborations with 2,440 experts. Users can access detailed species accounts, including biology, distribution maps, and management strategies. Additionally, the project highlights 100 of the most damaging invasive species, aiding in prevention and control efforts. By offering valuable data and insights, DAISIE supports stakeholders in safeguarding Europe's biodiversity and ecosystem health from the threats posed by invasive species.
