European Funding Guide (EFG) helps students find financial support for higher education. Its free platform brings together 12,320 scholarships, grants, awards and loans for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies across 15 European countries. Students can search by study level, stage, country and academic discipline, then create a profile describing their background, study destination and preferences. EFG uses this information to identify relevant funding opportunities and provides links to application portals, deadline tracking and application guidance.

The site also offers practical resources on applying for scholarships, writing motivation letters, navigating visa processes and managing funding. Its articles explain common misconceptions and mistakes that can lead to losing a scholarship. In addition, EFG publishes ideas for earning extra income, including information about surveys, online jobs and money-making apps. The organization describes its mission as making higher education accessible regardless of students’ financial backgrounds. The project has received support from the European Commission, and the platform provides information for students as well as universities, schools and funding providers.
