About European Film Academy
The European Film Academy is a leading organization that celebrates and promotes the work of Europe's finest filmmakers. Established in 1989 by a group of prominent filmmakers, including Ingmar Bergman, the Academy aims to support and connect its 4,600 members while educating audiences about European cinema. The Academy serves as a platform for knowledge sharing and facilitates important industry debates.
It strives to unite all those who have a passion for European cinema. Each year, the Academy organizes the Month of European Film and the prestigious European Film Awards, which honor the outstanding achievements in European filmmaking. In addition, the Academy is launching the European Film Club in the fall of 2023 to further engage and inspire film enthusiasts.
