European Lawyers in Lesvos (ELIL) is a brand that provides free and independent legal assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Greece and Poland. With a strong commitment to upholding the rule of law and human rights, ELIL plays a vital role in the asylum process. In Greece, ELIL has been operating since 2016, assisting tens of thousands of individuals in dire conditions.

Their efforts have resulted in an impressive asylum success rate of 69. 7%, compared to the national average of 32%. ELIL has offices in Athens, Lesvos, and Thessaloniki.

ELIL's Poland project focuses on providing high-quality legal information and assistance to refugees fleeing the conflict in Ukraine and those at the Poland/Belarus border. Supported by over 300 lawyers from 19 different European countries, ELIL has been able to ensure meaningful access to legal assistance.
