The European Weather Cloud (EWC) is a pioneering cloud-based collaboration platform designed to advance meteorological applications across Europe. Serving as a crucial component of the European Meteorological Infrastructure (EMI), which includes ECMWF, EUMETSAT, and various National Meteorological Services, the EWC catalyzes the digital transformation of weather data management. It provides essential services by allowing users to deploy and manage virtual resources and applications within a robust cloud environment.

The EWC enables harmonized online access to extensive datasets, facilitating efficient storage, processing, and retrieval of meteorological information. Key offerings include the Meteorological Archival and Retrieval System (MARS) for data discovery, data dissemination through the ECMWF Production Data Store, and access to climate data from Copernicus services. Additionally, its versatile applications range from automated production systems to collaborative environments, fostering new data-driven approaches. By enhancing operational capabilities, the EWC ensures that its stakeholders can derive maximum value from their investments in meteorological infrastructure and research.
