Select Training is a basketball development program focused on helping players improve through purposeful, game-relevant practice. Its approach moves beyond repetitive cone drills, emphasizing decision-making, high-repetition exercises, competition, and the details that shape performance, including footwork, mechanics, reads, spacing, timing, and finishing. Players are taught what to do, why it matters, and how to execute under pressure.

Training is led by coaches and current college players, including Dakota “Dak” Dearborn, Abi Davids, and Alan Molnar, alongside current University of Southern Maine players. Their combined coaching and playing experience informs sessions designed for athletes at different ages and skill levels. Offerings include individual coach-led options such as duo training, four-person and five-person sessions, group sessions, and Bronze and Gold training memberships.

Dak is a former University of Southern Maine basketball player and an assistant coach there, with specialties in shooting mechanics, ball handling, and finishing. Abi brings collegiate and international playing and coaching experience, and incorporates biomechanics, fundamental skills, and creative problem-solving.
