Evolve Wellington Youth Service is a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering young people to unleash their potential. We are part of a network of Youth One Stop Shops around New Zealand that emphasizes the importance of connection to community, family, school and peers, fostering resilience and supporting young people to make positive decisions. Our mission is to enhance the health, development and well-being of young people in Wellington. We offer a range of services including medical, counselling, advocacy, social support, school clinics, health promotion and programmes for young people between 10-25 years old. From inception young people and youth participation have been the cornerstone to our service and everything we do. Half of the governing board membership of Evolve is allocated to young people to ensure the youth voice will always underpin the direction of the service.

About Evolve Wellington Youth Service
Evolve Wellington Youth Service is a trusted brand that offers a comprehensive range of services to young people aged 10-24 in the Wellington region. As a Youth One Stop Shop (YOSS), they provide integrated primary health care and social support. Established in 2004 by and for young people, Evolve operates within a youth development framework, prioritizing the wellbeing and connections of young individuals to their communities, families, schools, and peers.
Their experienced team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, social workers, youth workers, and admin staff are committed to supporting the well-being of over 4,000 young people in the Wellington area. Evolve prides itself on being Connected, Courageous, and Equitable. They offer all their services free of charge to ensure accessibility for young individuals.
As a registered charity, Evolve relies on government funding for day-to-day operations and actively seeks grants to support additional initiatives such as Learner Driver Licence workshops, the Youth Hauora Project, and Young Parents Programmes. They also welcome donations to fund ongoing programs and one-off projects, like Christmas Food Hampers and Community Christmas Drop-In, which provide support to young people who may feel disconnected during the festive season. Located at Level 2, James Smith Building in Wellington, Evolve operates from Monday to Thursday, offering extended hours on Fridays.
