Evolving Regions

Evolving Regions is an innovative initiative dedicated to enhancing climate resilience and sustainability across various rural regions in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Through coordinated climate adaptation strategies, the project aims to equip regions like Wesel, Coesfeld, and Lippe to effectively confront the challenges posed by climate change, such as extreme weather events, droughts, and flooding.

The primary focus of Evolving Regions is on implementing actionable climate adaptation measures that are tailored to the specific needs of each participating community. As of July 31, 2023, the project will conclude, having fostered significant discussions and laid groundwork for future climate adaptation efforts through extensive documentation and community engagement initiatives.
