EVW

The Eislaufverein Wörthersee (EVW) is an ice sports club serving Klagenfurt and the wider Carinthia region. With a history spanning more than 135 years, it promotes skating and physical activity for people of different ages and abilities. Its offerings include an ice-skating school for beginners and more experienced skaters, with courses for children, adults, kindergartens, and primary-school classes.

The club also provides figure-skating instruction for children aged eight and older and for adults, as well as speed skating and Short Track. During winter, EVW publishes ice-condition updates and information on which local natural ice surfaces are open, including lakes and the Lendkanal. It also shares safety guidance, webcam access, and practical details such as admission prices and skate rentals.

Beyond skating, the club organizes ice shows, competitions, and community events, including fundraising activities. Its Fitsport section offers yoga, indoor football, and line dancing, providing opportunities to exercise and socialize without a focus on competitive performance. Through courses, events, and current ice reports, EVW supports both recreational participation and ice-sport development
