Der EVZ ist der grösste Eishockeyklub der Zentralschweiz und darüber hinaus ein innovatives Sportunternehmen mit rund 110 Festangestellten und 500 Teilzeitmitarbeiter in den Bereichen Sport, Management, Nachwuchs und Gastronomie. Mit 15 Nachwuchsmannschaften und dem hauseigenen Ausbildungskonzept «The Hockey Academy» setzt der EVZ auf nachhaltige und langfristige Jugendförderung. Die 1. Mannschaft des EVZ spielt seit 1987 ununterbrochen in der höchsten Schweizer Liga und wurde 1998 erstmals Schweizer Meister, gewann 2019 den Swiss Ice Hockey Cup und 2021 nach 23 Jahren den zweiten Schweizer Meistertitel, welcher im Jahr 2022 erfolgreich verteidigt werden konnte. Im Januar 2023 hat der EVZ sein «Women & Girls Programm» lanciert und stellt ab der Saison 2023/24 ein Team in der zweithöchsten Schweizer Frauenliga.
