EWA e.V. – Frauenzentrum is a feminist women’s centre in Berlin that creates spaces for empowerment, connection and participation through a wide range of professional services and community activities. Its support includes legal advice on family, civil, employment, social, housing and criminal law, as well as an anti-stalking project, social counselling, psychological support, coaching and mediation. The centre also offers job coaching and guidance for people insured through Germany’s statutory pension system.
EWA’s courses and activities span health, creativity, learning and culture. Participants can take part in self-defence, gymnastics, Hatha yoga, meditation, Shiatsu, oriental dance, English and computer classes, along with jewellery-making, painting groups, exhibitions, events and outings. Additional offerings include Reiki, stress support and cycle counselling. Projects such as “Digital. Sicher. Stark. & Selbstbestimmt.” help older women, including those with migration backgrounds, build confidence and safety online.
Based in Prenzlauer Berg, EWA welcomes people who identify as women or wish to be recognised as women, including trans and intersex women.
