Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is an international, non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life in developing communities. With a focus on cooperation and collaboration with local community members, EWB works tirelessly to implement sustainable solutions.

Founded in 2011, the Tel Aviv branch of EWB has been actively involved in various projects, with their main project centered in Tanzania. In collaboration with the local community, the Africa group within EWB Israel - Tel Aviv consists of 20 multidisciplinary volunteers who have been continuously active since 2013. Together, they have successfully implemented 9 rainfall harvesting systems in 8 schools, providing clean drinking water to over 5,000 children and staff in the Babati District.

By addressing the critical issue of limited access to clean water, the Africa group aims to improve the health and well-being of communities in rural regions of eastern Africa. Through their innovative rainfall harvesting systems, they ensure a sustainable supply of clean water year-round. Additionally, they also prioritize education and awareness by implementing extensive WASH programs in local schools, emphasizing the importance of clean drinking water and personal hygiene.
