About EWF
The European Welding Federation (EWF), established in 1992, serves as a pivotal organization in the welding, joining, and cutting industries across Europe and beyond. With 28 member countries and 2 observers, EWF manages comprehensive international systems for training, qualification, and certification tailored to both personnel and companies in the manufacturing sector. EWF is renowned for its pioneering efforts in developing harmonized qualification systems for welding and additive manufacturing technologies.
These systems, recognized by ISO and CEN, facilitate the certification of individuals across various roles, including Welding Coordinators and Operators, ensuring job competencies are standardized and recognized globally. Additionally, EWF offers an Integrated Manufacturers Certification System, adhering to ISO 3834 quality standards and encompassing environmental and health safety requirements.
