Ewia is a company with a vision of transitioning from a linear to a circular economy, aiming to create a society without waste. The company's project, the Centre of Circular Economy (CCE), represents the latest trends in waste management in the EU. By transforming the traditional linear equation of buy, use, and dispose, Ewia is working to promote a new approach of buy, use, and reuse.
In this circular economy model, waste is sorted, mechanically processed, compressed, and returned for further processing. Any residual waste that cannot be recycled goes through the Waste-to-Energy Facility (ZEVO), where it is converted into heat and electricity. Ewia also provides advisory services for businesses and municipalities, emphasizing the importance of adhering to waste management legislation and stewardship of the environment.
Through the ZEVO, Ewia is able to energetically utilize 100,000 tons of waste annually, covering the electricity consumption of approximately 23,000 households. With a commitment to sustainability, Ewia is working towards a society where waste is no longer seen as a burden but instead as a valuable resource
