The European Water Resources Association (EWRA) is an international non-profit association dedicated to strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange in water resources research and practice. Founded in 1986 as ECOWARM, a regional committee of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, it became independent and adopted its current name in 1992. EWRA connects scientists, engineers and water professionals, promoting the application of scientific knowledge to practical engineering and sharing European advances with audiences worldwide.

The association supports its mission through congresses, conferences, symposia and professional meetings, providing forums for discussion and collaboration. It publishes four international scientific and technical journals: Water Resources Management, Environmental Processes, European Water and Water Utility Journal. EWRA also establishes specialist working groups, organizes courses for scientists and engineers, and facilitates cooperation with related organizations and national or regional water resources associations. Its members offer expertise to private companies and public bodies. Based in Athens at the National Technical University of Athens, EWRA serves as a network and knowledge-sharing organization for the water resources community.
