Excessive Underarm Sweating

Specialist Skin Clinic is a Cardiff-based clinic offering advice and treatments for excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis, as well as a range of skin treatments. Dr Maria Gonzalez has experience supporting people affected by excessive sweating and helps patients understand available options. These include prescription-strength antiperspirants containing aluminium chloride, iontophoresis, botulinum toxin injections and surgical approaches.

The clinic also offers miraDry, a treatment presented as a longer-term, non-surgical option for excessive underarm sweating. Botulinum toxin injections can temporarily reduce underarm sweating by blocking nerve signals to sweat glands, with effects lasting up to seven months, according to the clinic’s information. miraDry is available at two clinic locations, including the Cardiff clinic at 10 Penlline Road, Whitchurch.

Patients can contact the clinic to ask about treatment, arrange a consultation or learn more about its services. The website also provides information through its FAQs and blog, helping visitors explore excessive sweating and the treatment choices available to them
