About ExpectMe
Expect Me | Kontich is a brand that aims to revolutionize the hospitality experience for hotels and their guests. Whether you're on a business trip or a holiday, Expect Me ensures that your hotel room meets your expectations from the initial booking. No more disappointment or dissatisfaction upon arrival.
Our digital tool allows hotel guests to select and guarantee their specific room based on a detailed floorplan and room overview, for only a small supplement. By linking this information to other characteristics, hotels can improve efficiency, optimize guest experiences, and achieve higher returns. The idea behind Expect Me was born out of a personal experience.
Our founder, Roeland Verhamme, and his wife went on a road trip through Italy, only to be disappointed when they arrived at their hotel and the promised sea view was obstructed. Determined to prevent others from experiencing such disappointment, Roeland developed a tool that allows guests to choose their room in advance, just like choosing a seat on a plane. Expect Me stands out from other digital tools by focusing on room allocation within the same category of the initial booking, ensuring that guests make the perfect room choice.
Our platform takes guests through an intuitive process, presenting upsell opportunities along the way. A few days before arrival, the platform extracts booking information to give guests the chance to optimize their stay. All data is encrypted and handled with utmost care to prioritize security and privacy.
Founded in November 2020, Expect Me is led by a passionate and experienced team. Roeland, our CEO, brings his expertise in the hotel industry, while Frank Smits, our CTO, brings technical knowledge and vision. Additionally, we have strong partnerships with technology group Road21, an established advisory board, and we are part of imec.
