Exploding Dice

Exploding Dice is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community space and registered charity in Bangor, Northern Ireland. It uses tabletop gaming to support mental wellbeing and improve quality of life by helping people build social connections in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. With 16 gaming tables, dedicated gaming rooms and more than 100 active members, the centre offers a friendly place for newcomers and experienced players alike.

Activities include miniature wargames such as Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team and Star Wars: Legion; board games ranging from quick card games to extended strategy sessions; and roleplaying games including Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu and Pathfinder. Visitors can bring their own games or explore the club’s growing library. Exploding Dice also provides table bookings, introductory and demo games, opponent-finding, regular events, tournaments, leagues and campaigns. Members can share hobby projects through showcases and join a community that welcomes beginners, encourages participation and helps people connect through a shared interest. As a charity, it reinvests its resources into the club and its community.
