About Sequoia Parks Conservancy
Sequoia Parks Conservancy is the official 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, which are part of the National Park Service, and Lake Kaweah, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The organization connects visitors and supporters with these places while providing services, educational programs, and funding for park priorities.
Through donations, memberships, tribute gifts, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns, the Conservancy supports search and rescue, wildlife management, trail construction and maintenance, accessibility, resource management, and scientific work. Its conservation priorities include protecting giant sequoias and biodiversity, recovering habitats and endangered species such as the Sierra Nevada red fox and mountain yellow-legged frog, and helping ecosystems recover from wildfire. Education initiatives include Rangers in the Classroom, summer internships, and service-learning programs for Kโ12 students.
The Conservancy also invites people to experience the parks through events, private tours, Crystal Cave activities, and dark-sky programming. Visitors can find park information, including current conditions and a webcam, and shop through the organization.
