Motive Africa Visual Academy (MAVA) is a brand dedicated to providing equal access to visual skills education for individuals who cannot afford traditional learning opportunities. In Africa, approximately 70% of the youth lack the means to learn visual skills such as photography and cinematography due to high costs. MAVA aims to solve this problem by offering free photography workshops led by experienced tutors three times a week for two months. Since its inception in January 2021, MAVA has trained over a hundred people, some of whom have gone on to pursue successful careers in the field.

The founders of MAVA, Orji Precious Fiyinfoluwa and Tofunmi Arowele Samuel, are passionate about creating equal opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Orji, a Business Strategist, believes that lack of resources should not hinder anyone from pursuing their dreams. Tofunmi, a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle photographer, aims to help individuals feel confident and secure in their own skin through his photography.
