Explorer Mandarin Immersion

Explorer Mandarin Immersion is a California-based early learning and childcare program for children ages 2 to 6. It combines Mandarin language and cultural immersion with a nature-based, child-centered approach, and welcomes families from all language backgrounds. The program’s primary language of instruction is Mandarin.

Explorer’s curriculum emerges from children’s interests and meaningful topics, including current events. Educators build on these interests through hands-on projects, investigative activities, and visits from relevant specialists, sometimes including parents. Learning is play-based and encourages curiosity, exploration, discovery, creativity, problem-solving, and expressive arts. The program also aims to help children develop lateral thinking and meaningful social connections.

Indoor and outdoor learning environments incorporate elements of nature and are designed to invite investigation and discovery. Explorer brings early childhood and environmental education together to support children’s holistic development and foster a lasting connection with the natural world. Its nurturing, passionate educators provide quality care and learning for students of all abilities, guiding children as they explore and learn about their surroundings.
