Eyesafe

Eyesafe Inc. develops blue-light-mitigating technology, products, and standards for screens and optical applications. Created with input from eye doctors, engineers, and scientists, its solutions are designed to reduce exposure to certain high-energy blue light while preserving vivid, accurate colors. The company says its technology is incorporated into more than 350 million products, including displays and screen-protection products from global consumer-electronics brands.

Eyesafe offers display and optics technologies, screen protection, and Eyesafe IQ, which can adapt light settings in real time. Its Eyesafe Mode provides personalized low-blue-light viewing, including for televisions, while Eyesafe lens technology filters blue light through clear lenses without a yellow tint. Clear Pro lenses are planned for 2027 through eyewear brands.

The company also provides certification, testing, licensing, and standards services for manufacturers and other partners. Eyesafe Requirements, developed with UL Solutions, include measures for blue-light hazard and circadian-related exposure while accounting for color performance. Its research resources include educational materials on blue light, screen time, eye comfort, and sleep.
