East Yorkshire Family History Society (EYFHS) is a registered charity supporting people with family and local history interests in Kingston upon Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. It welcomes members and non-members to its meetings and offers free help desks across the East Riding, where volunteers assist with family history enquiries and help researchers work through difficult questions. The society also provides information about local archives, heritage resources and places to research East Yorkshire ancestors.

Members can join or renew their subscriptions through the society’s online shop. EYFHS publishes research resources, including booklets, CDs and an expanding selection of PDF downloads; a publication list is also available for orders by post. Its website provides membership information and application forms, details of events and meetings, links to relevant organisations, and information about ongoing projects. Whether visitors are beginning their research or exploring established family lines, the society offers opportunities to learn, access publications and connect with others interested in the history and ancestry of eastern Yorkshire.
