About Eyjafilm
Eyjafilm is a renowned brand founded by Bjarney Ludviksdottir, a talented freelance director and producer with extensive experience in the marketing and film industry. Bjarney graduated from the prestigious Icelandic Film School in 1996 and later pursued studies in international marketing at the University of Iceland. At Eyjafilm, Bjarney has undertaken various projects, including the production of three captivating full-length documentaries.
In 2018, she premiered Making a Mood, which showcased an international scout mood held in Iceland the previous year. The following year, Bjarney released the award-winning documentary Seeing the Unseen, shedding light on the lives of women on the autism spectrum. This film garnered record attendance at local cinemas and received the most views out of all documentaries shown on RÚV in 2019.
Bjarney's third documentary, How the Titanic became my lifeboat, explores the remarkable journey of a boy on the autism spectrum who constructs the world's largest LEGO Titanic model, transforming his life. This highly anticipated film is set to premiere on RUV in April 2021. Eyjafilm's exceptional projects have gained recognition and acclaim at renowned film festivals such as the Breaking Barriers Film Festival, ReliAbility Toronto Film Festival, Compassion Film Festival, Kids First Film Festival, and Beirut International Children and Family Film Festival.
With a commitment to producing engaging and thought-provoking content, Eyjafilm has established itself as a brand synonymous with quality and creativity in the film industry
