About FIP
Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) has been dedicated to serving stamp collectors and philatelists since 1926. Initially a small society of European Philatelic Federations, FIP has now grown into a global federation with a network spanning the world. With 95 Regular Members, 3 Associated Members, and Promotional Members, FIP aims to promote stamp collecting and philately while fostering friendly relations among all peoples.
They also strive to establish and maintain strong connections with the philatelic trade and postal administrations. One of FIP's core activities is the promotion of philatelic exhibitions through the granting of Patronage and Auspices. As the hobby of Stamp Collecting continues to hold a special allure, FIP recognizes the need for ongoing efforts to sustain its fascination.
To achieve this, they have identified three distinct segments of interest: emerging interest in developing countries, growing interest in Asia, and stagnating to declining interest in industrialized nations. Overall, FIP is committed to preserving and promoting the rich heritage and artistry of stamp collecting, making it accessible and engaging for enthusiasts across the globe
