The Automobile Federation of Armenia — FAA is the official national automobile federation of Armenia and a member of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile — FIA. The Federation’s heritage dates back to 1957. Following Armenia’s independence, the FAA was restructured as an independent national federation in 1993 and became a member of the FIA in 1996. Since 2006, the FAA has also been involved in FIA road safety initiatives, supporting the development of safer mobility, a responsible driving culture, and road safety awareness in Armenia. Today, the FAA works to develop motorsports, mobility, road safety, automobile tourism, and automotive culture in Armenia. Its motorsport activities include karting, drifting, rallying, Cross Car, grassroots motorsport, and other disciplines aimed at creating stronger pathways for Armenian drivers and teams. FAA is building a growing network of motorsport experts, partners, and international stakeholders to support Armenian racers across different categories, help them participate in international competitions, and bring international motorsport events and expertise to Armenia. In 2024, the Federation established the FAA Foundation as a strategic development platform designed to work with public institutions, private partners, international organisations, and commercial stakeholders. The Foundation’s mission is to strengthen the Federation’s long-term sustainability, create new economic mechanisms, and develop high-impact partnerships for motorsport, mobility, road safety, innovation, and youth engagement in Armenia.
