FAAM (Federación Almeriense de Asociaciones de Personas con Discapacidad) is a federation based in Almería that supports the local association movement and represents 17 member associations. For more than 35 years, it has worked to improve well-being and quality of life, promote the full inclusion of people with physical and organic disabilities, and defend their rights. Its work combines advocacy with a broad range of social, health, care, education, and employment services.
These include residential and day services for people with significant support needs, Cuidal home care and rehabilitation, day centres for older people, occupational therapy, early childhood care centres, and nursery schools. FAAM also provides catering and vocational training in social and health care, care services, and catering. As a social-initiative Special Employment Centre, it operates its own employment pool and promotes quality jobs for people with disabilities in Almería.
The federation also advances accessibility, including accessible tourism, and promotes Fundación FAAM para la Inclusión, which supports and strengthens the social action sector
