About Fafo
Fafo is a renowned research foundation that specializes in studying various aspects of society, including work life, education, welfare, and migration, both nationally and internationally. With a team of 62 researchers from diverse academic backgrounds, including sociology, political science, anthropology, economics, nutrition, history, and law, Fafo Institute for Labour and Social Research is at the forefront of developing knowledge on conditions for participation in the workforce, organizations, society, and politics. Additionally, Fafo collaborates with 15 economists at Samfunnsøkonomisk analyse, a part of Fafo.
Working towards highlighting the perspectives of workers and those involuntarily excluded from the labor market, Fafo aims to shed a light on the complex challenges facing society. Fafo offers an extensive range of publications, research projects, and events. Their publications cover a wide array of topics and provide valuable insights into their research findings.
Their research projects tackle critical issues such as youth activation in the workplace, organizing daycare routines, utilization of temporary labor in the healthcare sector, and the situation of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Fafo also organizes events, including seminars, debates, and presentations, where experts and researchers engage in discussions and share their knowledge. Fafo's commitment to generating knowledge, promoting inclusion, and fostering social development makes it a trusted authority in the field of social sciences
