Fairhaven Pre-School

Fairhaven Pre-School is a rural early-years setting based at South Walsham Village Hall, serving children and families in South Walsham and the nearby villages of Ranworth and Upton. It welcomes children from age two until they start school, offering care and education in a nurturing, inclusive environment. The pre-school works in partnership with parents and adapts its curriculum to children’s interests and individual needs, supporting their learning and development through the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Learning is centred on play, exploration and active learning, helping children build communication, creativity, curiosity, kindness and resilience. Daily activities include stories, messy play, sand and water, mark-making, construction, creative projects and problem-solving. Children also have access to a large outdoor play area in all weather, with a mud kitchen, ride-on toys, climbing and construction equipment, as well as the village hall sports fields. A diverse staff team and key workers support children’s social and emotional wellbeing and help them develop skills for a confident transition to primary school.
