Fair Wear is a multi-stakeholder initiative working to advance workersβ rights and responsible business practices across the global garment and textile industry. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, it helps make human rights and environmental due diligence part of everyday business. Fair Wear works with member brands, suppliers, workers, local networks, civil society organisations and strategic partners to address the most significant risks in supply chains and support lasting, practical improvements.
Its work focuses on four connected areas: gender-responsive workplaces, equitable sourcing and purchasing practices, meaningful worker and stakeholder engagement, and access to effective remedy. In garment-producing countries, Fair Wear collaborates with local experts and established networks to strengthen the capacity of suppliers, business associations, trade unions and civil society groups. The organisation also offers membership and its HRDD Academy, alongside tools, resources, industry alignment and partnerships that help companies apply due diligence. More than 120 companies work with Fair Wear through membership and the academy, while its industry alignment efforts reach over 900 brands.
