Falcon BMS is a free standalone modification for Falcon 4.0, developed by Benchmark Sims, a volunteer team with contributors around the world. First released in 2003, the simulator focuses on detailed military aviation and a dynamic, evolving battlefield. Its campaign lets players take part in a larger conflict, progressing from pilot to commander and coordinating air, land, and sea operations.

The experience centers on carefully modeled F-16 flight dynamics, flight controls, avionics, weapons, and countermeasures across multiple F-16 variants and countries. Set in a 2000-era warfare environment, Falcon BMS also features artificial intelligence for ground, air, and naval units, with opposing forces using tactics and allied units providing support. Players can fly additional aircraft, including the F-15C, which has custom cockpit modeling, advanced systems, and flight dynamics. The simulator supports DirectX 11 and virtual reality.

Falcon BMS is supported by a large community that shares missions, modifications, and experiences and contributes to ongoing development. The project provides downloads, news, a forum, a wiki, maps, and other resources for players.
