FALDEF

The Filipino American Legal Defense & Education Fund (FALDEF) is an organization focused on legal defense and education for Filipino Americans. Based in New York, it shares information and resources related to immigration and issues affecting Filipino communities in the United States. Its website features sections on immigration and human trafficking, along with forms and flyers, client testimonials, information about the organization, and a blog.

FALDEF’s blog covers community concerns, public policy, and advocacy efforts. The material provided includes updates on campaigns for Temporary Protected Status for the Philippines, describing how community groups sought government support for Filipinos who could not safely return to the country after Typhoon Haiyan. It also shares information about health insurance enrollment opportunities for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. Through these resources and updates, FALDEF connects readers with information about legal and policy issues, community initiatives, and ways to participate in advocacy.
