Falknerei Beizjagd

Falknerei & Beizjagd Akademie is a specialist training and mentoring platform founded by Rainer Rätzer, a falconer and hunter with more than 40 years of experience. The academy shares practical and theoretical knowledge of falconry and hunting with trained birds of prey, helping newcomers prepare for the falconry examination and gain the required expertise. Its offerings include group courses, flexible online individual instruction, recorded workshops, and a free guide explaining how to become a falconer.

Training and mentoring also continue beyond the examination: the Online-Lehrprinz program provides step-by-step support in handling, flying, and hunting with a bird of prey. The academy offers young-bird training for selected hunting purposes and can provide recommendations or contacts for breeders. Other services include pigeon deterrence using birds of prey and live experience days in the Bayreuth area, where visitors can observe falconry flights in the field.

Through courses, workshops, and personal guidance, the academy aims to pass on the knowledge and traditions of falconry and Beizjagd
