Falla La Paperina is a community falles association in Benicarló, with a history spanning 45 years. It brings together its falleres and fallers, families, friends and visitors to celebrate local traditions and take part in activities throughout the year. Its program centers on the Falles, including the creation and presentation of the main and children’s monuments, the Ninot exhibition, the Cridà, and events honoring the year’s representatives.
The association also shares information about its activities and festivities through its blog, images, social media and annual llibret, which contains details and programming for the celebrations. Community gatherings include shared paella meals and the traditional Sant Antoni torrà at the casal. La Paperina’s activities help sustain Valencian language and culture; the association has received support from the Generalitat Valenciana to promote Valencian and develop further activities and online spaces.
Through its events, publications and community participation, Falla La Paperina offers residents and visitors ways to experience the traditions and social life of Benicarló’s Falles
