The Fallen Timbers Battlefield Preservation Commission is a dedicated brand that promotes historical sites related to the significant Battle of Fallen Timbers through education and preservation efforts. This commission was formed in response to ground-breaking archaeological discoveries in 1995, which revealed that the battle had taken place in an area opposite the Anthony Wayne Trail, rather than solely on the floodplain of the Maumee River as previously believed. With a mission to safeguard the historical integrity of this pivotal event, the commission offers various programs and events aimed at educating the public about the Battle of Fallen Timbers.
They also provide virtual tours of the battlefield, allowing individuals to explore the site from the comfort of their own homes. Additionally, the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Preservation Commission oversees the maintenance of the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Monument, the Battlefield Trail, and the earthwork remnants of Ft. Miamis in the surrounding woods.
Their commitment to preserving this heritage site is fueled by a desire to protect and share an accurate historical narrative. Join or donate to support their noble cause and be a part of preserving the legacy of the Battle of Fallen Timbers
