Fall River Diocesan Cemeteries

Fall River Catholic Cemeteries is the cemetery ministry of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River, serving southeastern Massachusetts. Its staff operate and maintain 13 diocesan cemeteries, providing sacred, peaceful places for prayer, reflection, remembrance, and dignified Christian burial in accordance with the Catholic Church. The organization supports families through burial planning and cemetery services for Catholic faithful and their loved ones.

Available choices include traditional full-body in-ground burial, with selected locations also offering in-ground graves for cremated remains. The cemeteries provide several options for the burial of cremated remains, and the office offers pre-need arrangements so individuals can make thoughtful decisions in advance and help provide peace of mind for their families. St. John the Baptist Cemetery in New Bedford has a limited number of traditional burial and cremation-grave options available.

Fall River Catholic Cemeteries also hosts monthly memorial Masses and community events. Its website helps visitors find local cemeteries, explore burial and cremation choices, learn about advance planning, and contact the diocesan cemeteries office in Fall River.
