About Falmouth Week
Falmouth Week is an annual sailing and community festival in Falmouth, Cornwall, bringing together competitors, residents and visitors for on-water sport and town-wide entertainment. Its roots reach back to a local sailing regatta in 1837, and it has grown into one of the South West’s major sailing competitions. The 2027 event is scheduled for Friday 6 to Sunday 15 August, with race programmes and management supported by host clubs.
Beyond the sailing, Falmouth Week offers family-friendly daytime activities around The Moor and Events Square, including a vintage hand-turned carousel, local music, an eclectic market and workshops at Falmouth Art Gallery. The programme also features parades and community celebrations, such as the Pink Wig Mermaid March, which raises funds for The Mermaid Centre at Royal Cornwall Hospital, and Falmouth Carnival. Evening entertainment in the Waterfront Marquee includes live music and themed nights. The website provides visitor information, event updates, feedback surveys, sailing and shoreside enquiry contacts, and a newsletter sign-up for people wishing to stay informed.
