Famidac

Famidac is a French national association supporting family caregivers and the people and professionals who work with them. Its mission is to promote family-based care rooted in sharing, solidarity, intergenerational connection and everyday companionship. Across France, nearly 9,000 accredited family caregivers host and support adults with disabilities, older people, and people who are ill or recovering. Arrangements may be permanent, temporary or occasional, full- or part-time, and take place in an individual room or independent accommodation. Famidac aims to help each person feel at home while receiving care suited to their needs.

The association’s website connects caregivers with families, guardians, social workers, doctors, public-sector staff, care organisations and elected representatives. It provides classified listings to help people find family care or advertise accommodation, alongside a discussion forum, frequently asked questions, online documentation and practical resources. Topics include care arrangements, daily support, contracts, rights and caregiver replacement. Famidac also shares news, guidance and community contributions, and offers membership.
