The Associação da Família Cunha Coutinho is a nonprofit family association founded by the Barons of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, José António Alves da Cunha Coutinho and Maria Antonieta Sanhudo de Portocarrero da Cunha Coutinho, together with their six children. Based in Lisbon, it works to preserve the family’s history and traditions, promote shared values, and connect members across generations. Its activities include recording and updating family genealogy, studying heraldry, preparing a family book, and providing guidance on family genealogy, heraldry, and nobiliary matters.

The association also organizes broader family gatherings and shares information about national and international nobiliary associations and their membership requirements. It aims to help younger generations learn about their ancestors on both sides of the family, strengthen solidarity among relatives, and encourage civic responsibility and family culture. The association describes the Cunha Coutinho family as part of Portugal’s historical nobility and supports the transmission of its heritage and traditional values.

It also collaborates with related associations, federations, and institutions in Portugal and abroad
