Familia is the leading expert and advocate for intercultural families in Finland. With over 35 years of experience, they provide a range of activities and support to help families navigate the challenges of living in two cultures. Their services include peer groups, family training, advice and support, events, volunteering opportunities, and clubs and workshops for both parents and children.

One of their notable projects is the Tools for Speaking about Racism and Discrimination guide, designed for intercultural families, adoptive families, and professionals. Published in December 2021, this guide offers valuable information on anti-racist upbringing, initiating discussions about racism, child identity formation, emotional skills to deal with racism, and reporting incidents of racism and discrimination. Familia also offers a workshop model that facilitates processing and discussing experiences of racism and discrimination.
