Familias Primero is a transformative foundation in Chile dedicated to empowering vulnerable families through early childhood education and community support. Established in 2015, it began with the mission of bridging opportunity gaps for preschool-aged children (2 to 4 years) in disadvantaged contexts. Utilizing the “Parent Child Plus” methodology, Familias Primero enhances parent-child relationships through home visiting programs that have demonstrated positive outcomes recognized by esteemed institutions like New York University.

The foundation offers diverse programs, including Kínder Power, which supports children aged 4 to 5 through virtual and personalized tutoring, and "Leer es Poderoso," a reading promotion initiative targeting elementary students during school breaks. Moreover, through the Mujeres Power program, Familias Primero empowers mothers as community leaders, enhancing their skills and fostering educational advocacy within their neighborhoods. Looking ahead, the foundation aims to impact nearly 5,000 families and collaborate with around 90 educational institutions by 2024, solidifying its commitment to building stronger communities through education and empowerment.
