Familien i centrum

Familien i centrum is a Danish social-care provider focused on helping children and families build stronger relationships and achieve lasting positive change. Founded by an experienced team with further training in social services, the organisation works with families and municipalities across the region. Its approach is preventive, relationship-based and holistic, with support tailored to each family’s circumstances, everyday life and needs.

Services include family treatment, guidance and advice programmes, screening and assessment, child welfare assessments, contact-person support, support for parents, supported and supervised visits, and in-home respite care. Work is grounded in narrative, mentalisation-based and appreciative approaches, using conversations and reflection to encourage new perspectives and strengthen families’ confidence in their own resources. The organisation also uses the ICS Triangle to consider a child’s needs in context, and may involve dogs or horses where appropriate to support confidence, trust and relationships.
